"Our oceans connect all life. The sea is beautiful, powerful, nourishing, yet fragile. People can be like this too.  We need to care for our oceans and each other.  For this reason, I often focus on the sea and relationships in my paintings.

My original art includes a lot of mermaids because I love fantasy, the ocean and women.  Mermaids can be playful and soft while still being strong and a force of nature.  I view women as being like mermaids and the sea.  They have incredible strength, give life and thrive when supported. They are inspiring.

I teach art because I believe it's meant to be shared and enjoyed. Everyone has an inner artist inside of them.
